Philter (Phil Chung) joins gskinner.com
Posted by Grant

If you are contemplating the development of a complex Flash application or eLearning solution, operate a design firm, or wish you had access to professional expertise when you find yourself in a jam, you may want to read on...

Phil Chung AKA Philter (PhilterBlog) has just joined gskinner.com full-time, creating one of the most technically capable Flash development teams in North America. Phil lends his superb understanding of e-learning implementation and Flash development to my extensive knowledge of Flash application architecture, development and business logic.

Between us, Phil and I have been finalists for 3 technical awards in FlashForward (winning 2) and another 3 at FlashInTheCan (winning 1). Phil was also the winner of the Macromedia XML Feed contest and has contributed to numerous articles and Macromedia DRKs.

This provides much better bandwidth than I had operating in a solo capacity, and provides excellent value and support for our clients.

We are open for business, and looking for interesting projects and progressive, motivated clients. We have three major areas of focus:

  1. Work with progressive corporate and eLearning clients to align Flash solutions with business goals, then spec, plan, implement and track the results of those solutions.

  2. Provide expert consultation, architecture/planning, usability and development services for design, multimedia, or web firms in a subcontracting or partnership role (discretely if necessary). We also offer these services for corporate in-house teams.

  3. Work with our pool of selected partners to offer full project conceptualization, planning, design, development, deployment and marketing.

I'm really excited about Phil coming on board. He is the most technically capable Flash developer I know in the region, possibly even in Western Canada, and I know my clients will appreciate the addition of his capabilities to gskinner.com.

I will be posting our CVs in the next couple of days for anyone who is interested.

Congrats Grant. I am sure you guys will do great. I would probably have expanded my operation if I wasn't so remote :) I frequently have overflow. At least I have a good idea where to pass it on now!
