While I'm busy posting examples of tolerance based "organic" systems, I thought I would post one of the first ones I created. It's about 2 years old, but I think it's still pretty neat to watch. Click once or twice anywhere in the black area below, then sit back and watch the crystallization process (give it a couple of seconds).
NOTE: There is a glitch (hey, it's a 2 year old experiment) that will cause the matrix to flow out in a boring diamond shape if it is left too long before clicking on it. Try reloading this page, then immediately clicking on the swf.
I love building these organic, experimental pieces - unfortunately, I rarely have time to play with them anymore.

I saw your speech at FITC last week, bravo.
Now, I am seeing all these experiments, bravo bravo!!!
I was the one who came up to you at the end of your speech and asked about other locations for the 3 day pre conference you held, I really hope you have one in NYC! Because I could really benefit from the pearls of wisdom you bring. If you are ever in the Philadelphia area for any reason at all, let me know we would love to have you speak at our user group.

That's really nice. Don't suppose you'll be releasing the source code? I too understand the pain of not having enough time to experiment. If I had my way, that's all I do all day. That and eat pancakes.
