Expanding on the varicose-g experiment I posted a little while back, I tweaked some numbers, and added some new functionality to create vine-g, which shows a rapidly growing vine replete with leaves and flowers. I love experiments like this that you can revisit over and over. Ch-ch-ch-check it out... (again, this is fairly CPU intensive, and requires Flash Player 7 or higher)
I'll be releasing the code for the varicose experiment tomorrow.

Another great one!
It runs a little fast on my system. Is it running on an enterFrame? Maybe setInterval would be more flexible for different machines? Just an idea :-)
Very well done, I especially like the intermittent buds on the vine. Really nice touch.

It runs very smooth on my mac - that's pretty rare with all that cpu-sage!

Wow runs fast on a mac too! Great stuff. Can't wait to see the source code. (thanks for sharing) By the way can you give an update on Glic? I can't stand the macromedia components anymore.
Cheers!

Grant,
I'm a Pastor for a church in Florida and am interested in you vine. I'm beginning a series of sermons entitled "Life on the Vine" and wondered if there would be a way to incorporate something like this into a visual for this series. I have no experience with flash. Does it work with PowerPoint?
Thanks for your time and good work.

Innovative project, ask to change the perspectives with time. And motivates to give its best with the balance of art and math for the best of Animation and web development too.
