Important News

Due to the lack of participation we have experienced with EFUG (primarily a lack of volunteers to speak, and a lack of input for topics), we are going to be scaling down the gatherings to one gathering every second month. I apologize for doing this, but it is impossible for the 3 organizing members to continue to do 90% of the talks - we're happy to bear the majority of the speaking/organizational burden, but not to the extent that we have.

Until further notice, gatherings will be held on the third Monday of even numbered months only. The next meeting will be on April 18th at 7pm.

My intention is not to berate or punish members for not volunteering to speak, it's simply that the three of us can not invent, prepare and deliver a new session (or sessions) every month without more participation from the community. I'm hoping that with a meeting every 2 months we can continue to deliver quality content that will help this community grow. I will try to continue to send out a mailing once a month with news, job/contract postings, etc. I'm also hoping that with less meetings, we can do a better job with the ones we have, and certainly send out meeting announcements sooner.

Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Kind regards,
Grant Skinner.
