A Good Ass Kicking: Round Two
At last month's gathering, Grant Skinner shared the first half of his 2007 FitC presentation entitled "50 Reasons AS3 Kicks Ass". He then took us under the hood of his presentation engine, shedding light on its intricacies and architecture.
This Monday (August 20th: 7:00, Billiard Club), Grant will be wrapping up his presentation, touching on 25 more reasons that AS3 is arguably the largest step forward in the history of Flash. Grant is internationally renowned for his expertise and contributions to the Flash community - offering an evening you won't want to miss.
Following the break, we are going to have an open-podium portion of the evening. Volunteering to speak will earn you an entry for our major giveaway of the evening.
To earn your entry, you simply need to comment on one of the following, for no longer than five minutes:
- sweet feature in AS3, Flash CS3, AIR or Flex
- handy or awesome Flex / AIR application
- showcase a project you've completed or are working on
- show a stellar Flash site you've found and why it appeals to you
We will have a laptop & internet connection available to you, but come prepared if you need any additional files or resources.
Expect to enjoy the usual five-dollar appetizers, happy-hour drink prices, great socializing & networking.
